Press meets Mahesh today at Nanakram Guda
Mahesh Babu
has met the scribes at the house set in Rama Naidu Cine Village,
Nanakram Guda today morning. He is shooting for 14-Reels film in the
direction of Sukumar. He spoke freely about the success of SVSC and many
other issues. Here are excerpts of the interview
How SVSC happened
Srikanth Addala has come to me during the shooting of Dookudu and gave a 20-minute narration of SVSC. It is been a while a family-centric film has come in Telugu and I gave a go-ahead.

I
am going through the best phase of my career. Doing three radically
different scripts at a stretch (Dookudu, Businessman and SVSC) is
blissful. While I was doing SVSC, I thought that it will become a good
film. It has become a big hit, by the God’s grace. It’s a sensible and
meaningful cinema. We have played the characters and there is no heroism
is attached to the character. During the start of the project we (Me,
Venkatsh and Prakash Raj) have decided to forget who we are and
surrender ourselves to the director.
I had to unlearn for SVSC
I had to unlearn to do SVSC. Since I had done hero-centric films in the past, I have certain things embedded in my body language, diction, expression and walking style. I had to giveaway what I had learnt to act as a star and start afresh as a normal guy in SVSC.

There is lot of Srikanth Addala in my SVSC character
I have got a lot of compliments for my dialect of Godari. The entire credit should go to Srikanth Addala. That is how he speaks. I just had to follow him. The body language of mine in this film too is similar to that of Srikanth. I feel that most of my character in SVSC is very similar to the real life character of Srikanth Addala. I feel that some of his real life experiences might be incorporated in the film as well.

Interview scene is my favorite
My favorite scene in the film is the interview scene. I had to give a genuine smile. I don’t get it right in the first as my character has fake smile. The interviewers decide it as fake though I gave a genuine smile in the last attempt. It’s a complex scene to do.

SVSC is a multi-actor film, not a multi-starrer
I don’t want people to call SVSC as multi-starrer. I would prefer it to be called multi-actor film. If we call multi-starrer, it gives credit to only two heroes. I feel that all the characters in this film (especially Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and Anjali) have given superb performances. All the actors in this film should be credited.
